Mycelium

The Hidden Architect

This creative speculation addresses the growing concern of environmental degradation and its impact on human nature and health. We’ve taken the mycelium perspective in hopes to demonstrate a solution in which humans’ step back and allow for mycelium to remove toxins through its natural processes to restore the ecosystem. We we’re inspired by mycelium’s purifying properties and processes as well as its ability to communicate through electrical impulses that cross hyphae.

We’ve developed this six-stage narrative to inspire our audience to recognise the potential of natural solutions in addressing human pollution. Through highlighting interconnectedness between nature and human health, we hope to foster a deeper appreciation for the environment and a desire to protect and heal our planet. We hope to remind audiences that nature is capable of healing itself, if we just give it the chance and that we can leave behind a healthier and sustainable world for future generations.
