if we and trees share the same physical senses, can we increase awareness and the necessary action to take appropriate and timely measures to support or care for them? Therefore, our team has created an one-day-experiment workshop called ‘SYNCHRO ME’ with the supporting devices for the participants, the MYCEL BRACELET.
the MYCEL BRACELET is a device designed to connect all senses with trees, inspired by the underground mycelial network that links individual plants for nutrient exchange and communication. The bracelets, which deliver electric shocks, shrink, and emit stench, and smoke, transmit the tree's experiences to the participants. The SYNCHRO-ME workshop aims to increase empathy by attaching a transmitter to the tree, live-broadcasting its situation on-screen, and transmitting the tree's suffering to the bracelets. participants can see the tree's suffering through the screen and experience it alongside the tree, feeling its difficulties, such as pollution, lack of nutrients, and external impacts like broken branches.
